On Apr. 16, Mr. Jeremy Penn，Chief Executive of the Baltic Exchange and Guest Professor of SMU lectured to SMU students on the topic of London and the Maritime Markets.
Before the lecture, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Chairman of the University Council, met with Mr. Jeremy Penn and introduced the new development of SMU to Mr. Jeremy Penn. He said, as a significant shipping exchange, the Baltic Exchange plays an important role in the world shipping industry. He expected the future cooperation on the shipping market research between Shanghai Maritime University and the Baltic Exchange.
Mr. Jeremy Penn said he was very pleased to come to visit SMU again and he introduced the current shipping market to Chairman Jin.
