On the afternoon of March, 17, delegates from the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd visited SMU. Mr. Xiao Jiabao, Vice President of SMU, Prof. Liu Bin, Dean of School of Economics & Management of SMU, and representative teachers and postgraduates of cruise tourism welcomed the guests warmly.
Mr. Xiao Jiabao briefed the guests on SMU’s development, disciplines and majors, students’ cultivation and advantages in training shipping and cruise talents. Prof. Liu Bin introduced the construction and development of Asian Cruise Academy in detail.
The two sides had a depth discuss on cooperation mode and schedule plan concerning cruise talents training, laboratory construction, students’ internship, company personnel training and etc., agreeing to the university-enterprise cooperation and common development, and made a specific arrangement on work in progress.
