2014 SISI-KMI International Maritime Forum- Prospect and Solutions of 2015 World Shipping Industry, co-hosted by Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) and Korean Maritime Institute (KMI), was held in Shanghai on December 4, 2014.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Kim Sung-gwi, President of KMI, Prof. Yu Shicheng, Chairman of SMU University Council & Director of SISI, Mr. Sang Chan Gu, Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai, and Mr. Zhang Lin, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, respectively delivered speeches. On behalf of KMI and SISI, Mr. Kim Sung-gwi and Prof. Yu Shicheng signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to extend the collaborative relations of the two sides.
Prof. Xiao Baojia, Vice President of SMU & Deputy Director of SISI, gave a keynote speech entitled “New Opportunities for China-Korea Cruise Industry Development”.
With keynote speeches and a dedicated discussion session, five experts from China and Korea discussed the prospect of green shipping, new opportunities for cruise industry development, shipping alliance, container liner shipping market and dry bulk shipping market with other five guests commenting and discussing.
The forum invited renowned experts from China and Korea and attracted numerous shipping and logistics enterprises to attend. The participators communicated and discussed on the developments of China-Korea (World) shipping industry.
