On November 12, the Award Presentation Ceremony of 2014 SMU-NYK Scholarship was held at SMU. Mr. Keizo Nagai, NYK Chief Representative in China, and Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, attended the ceremony and presented the awards.
Prof. Jin Yongxing thanked NYK for its support to SMU and said that NYK grant inspired students a lot, hoping the grant-winning students to transfer the encouragement brought by the award to the motivation for studying to become outstanding talents for shipping industry.
Mr. Keizo Nagai briefed on the developments and corporate values of NYK. He said with a goal of fulfilling its social responsibilities, NYK set up grants in SMU in 2001, hoping the grant-winning students to study hard and make greater contribution to the society.
After the ceremony, Mr. Keizo Nagai communicated with students and discussed the secret of NYK’s success, NYK development strategy in the future, and students’ career planning, etc.
