On October 28, Mr. Hieu Nguyen, Vice President of University of California Riverside, Mr. Yun-zeng Wang, Dean of Business College of University of California Riverside, and Mr. Cheng Shenghai, Chairman of Lingang High-tech Zone, visited SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, and heads from Scientific Research Academy, Logistics Services Center and International Office met with the guests.
Prof. Jin Yongxing introduced the developments of SMU in teaching, scientific research, international cooperation, etc. Mr. Chen Weijiong, Dean of Scientific Research Academy, and Mr. Yang Bin, Deputy Director of Logistics Services Center, briefed the guests on the academy/center respectively.
Mr. Cheng Shenghai introduced the Strategic planning of Lingang New City to the guests.
Mr. Hieu Nguyen and Mr. Yun-zeng Wang introduced University of California Riverside and College of Business.
The two sides had a discussion on such programs as cooperation in scientific research, academic communication, teachers and students exchanges.
The guests also visited the SMU Marine Simulator and COSCO library.
University of California Riverside is one of 10 member campuses of the prestigious University of California system, and its College of Business is the largest of its kind among the University of California system.
