On October 9, seven delegates from Singapore Maritime Institute, National University of Singapore, Singapore Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic visited SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, met the guests. Ms. Yu Hongrong, Director of International Office, Mr. Wang Guohua, Dean of Graduate School, Mr. Yin Yansheng, Dean of College of Ocean Environment and Engineering and Ms. Dong Lihua, Vice Dean of College of Ocean Environment and Engineering, attended the reception.
Prof. Jin Yongxing warmly welcomed the guest. He briefed the recent developments of SMU and focused on introducing the study on marine materials of SMU maritime research team and its tracking study of the international maritime organization codes, expecting to further cooperate with maritime research and education institutes of Singapore.
Mr. Wang Zhangyi, Executive Dean of Singapore Maritime Institute delivered a speech on behalf of the delegation. He said, “The development of SMU has impressed the delegates deeply and we expect to further cooperate with SMU.”
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Marine Simulator, Port Integrated Control Simulation Lab, Automatic Engine Room, etc.
