Recently, the Graduation Ceremony of the 9th SMU&WMU (World Maritime University) MSc Program in International Transport and Logistics was held at SMU. Prof. Neil Bellefontaine, Acting President of WMU, Prof. Ma Shuo, Vice President of WMU, Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, heads and teachers from College of Transport & Communications, International Education College, International Office, and Graduate School , and the students graduating from the 9th program attended the ceremony.
Prof. Huang Youfang and Prof. Neil Bellefontaine delivered speeches respectively. They warmly congratulated the graduates and commended the fruitful achievements of this program over the past decade, saying that the two sides would further consolidate cooperation in maritime education and science research on the basis of this program.
There are altogether 36 graduates graduating from this program, including 11 overseas students from Germany, India, Greece, Mexico, Indonesia, etc. And the employment rate is over 90% as of August 23.
Since the establishment of SMU&WMU MSc Program in International Transport and Logistics in 2004, it had cultivated and provided more than 300 senior talents for the international transport and logistics industry. Apart from Chinese students, the program also attracted a lot of foreign students from Germany, Greece, Turkey, United States, India, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, etc.
