On June 23, BIMCO Asia Shipping School, which was co-organized by BIMCO and SMU, was opened in Shanghai. 30 participants from shipping enterprises in 9 countries, including China, Singapore, Japan, India and Iran, attended the training course. This is the third time for SMU and BIMCO to co-organize such kind of training course since 2007.
Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. He reviewed SMU’s cooperation with BIMCO and expected to further strengthen the mutual understanding and collaboration.
Mr. Zhuang Wei, General Manager of BIMCO Shanghai Centre, introduced the developments of BIMCO, and extended his sincere thanks to SMU for its contribution to this training course.
During the one-week training course, trainees would be exposed to the international shipping expertise, following up, analyzing and discussing about the latest trends in the international shipping market.
