On May 29, 2014 SMU and NORDEN Workshop was held successfully at SMU. Mr. Jakob Bergholdt, Vice President of Norden and CEO of Norden Singapore Company, Mr. Steffen J. Moller, General Manager of Norden Shanghai Office and Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, attended the workshop.
Mr. Jakob Bergholdt delivered a speech titled “Outlook for the Dry Bulk Shipping Markets-How to Manage and Capture Value in Volatile Markets”. Five representatives from Norden and 40 sophomores from SMU had group discussions, in which 10 of them were selected as winners. Afterwards, Prof. Jin Yongxing and Mr. Jakob Bergholdt jointly presented the certificates and bonuses for winners.
The SMU-NORDEN workshop has been co-organized by SMU and Norden for 9 years and has played an important role in helping SMU students obtain a better understanding of the shipping market.
