On the night of April 26, the Youth Alumni Gathering Party was held by SMU Hong Kong Alumni Association at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Prof. Yu Shicheng, who was on a visit to HK, was invited to attend the party.
Mr. Feng Jiapei, Secretary-general of SMU Hong Kong Alumni Association presided over the party, while Mr. Lo Wong Fung, JP, President of SMU Hong Kong Alumni Association gave a welcome speech, wishing everyone present prosperity and good health.
Prof. Yu Shicheng on behalf of SMU delivered a speech. He pointed out that the youth was the future, and shipping industry could not have developed without the devotion and contribution of generations of shipping talents. As a spiritual home for all alumni, SMU has always been paying special attention to the youth alumni. He encouraged the alumni to join hands in making progress, and thus to contribute more to the construction of Hong Kong Shipping Centre.
SMU Hong Kong Alumni Association was founded in 2004, and this year is its 10th anniversary. Prof. Yu Shicheng awarded “Outstanding Contribution for a Decade” to Mr. Lo Wong Fung, JP, and Secretary-general Feng Jiapei, in recognition for their outstanding contribution to the association.
