On April 8, the opening ceremony of the annual Hai Lan Culture Festival for SMU postgraduates was held at the lecture hall of COSCO Library. Prof. Yu Shicheng, Chairman of SMU University Council, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU and heads from relevant departments attended the ceremony.
Chairman Yu Shicheng and Vice Presdent Jin Yongxing together with the special guests cut ribbon for the ceremony. Chairman Yu Shicheng delivered a speech, presenting the best wishes to Hai Lan Culture Festival.
The theme of the 5th festival is “Inheriting the Eternal Soul of Shipping and Creating the Climate of Intelligent Ocean”. A series of academic and recreational activities, including academic seminars, paper contest, badminton competition and photography competition will be carried out.
