On April 8, SMU and China Shipping (Group) Company (China Shipping) signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement. According to the agreement, the two sides would establish long term strategic cooperation based on the alliance of industry, university and research institutes, carrying out comprehensive collaboration in the innovation of supply chain, talent cultivation, education and training, science and technology cooperation, and resource sharing.
