On the morning of March 14, Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU and leaders from Logistics Research Center and International Office of SMU paid a visit to IKEA (China) Investment Co., Ltd. They were warmly received by the General Manager of IKEA (China), Mr. Hornell, and the HR Manager, Ms. Anna Andersson.
President Huang Youfang introduced SMU’s basic information including teaching work, the construction of the faculty, international exchange and the development of Logistics subject. He thanked IKEA (China) Investment Co., Ltd for their strong support in training talents of recent years, and expected the two sides could continue to join forces to cultivate logistics talents of higher level.
General Manager Hornell expressed that although he’s been in Shanghai for only a short time, he has long heard about SMU’s reputation in the logistics field. IKEA will work together with SMU to make another round of exchange and cooperation programs as quickly as possible.
The two sides exchanged opinions on the future school-enterprise cooperation, and achieved initial intent of cooperation.
