On February 28, Mr. Erik Andreassen, Rector of Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management, and Vice Rector, Mr. Thomas B. Dragoe, as well as Rector of Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering, Mr. Anders H. Sorensen paid a visit to SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing along with leaders from the International Office and Merchant Marine College met with the guests.
Prof. Jin Yongxing noted that the cooperation between Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management and SMU has been progressing smoothly, thanks to the closer exchanges in the fields of student learning and course training, students of both sides have benefited a lot; last year, with the launch of teacher exchange program, training of teachers from the two sides is of great help. He expected the two sides may further expand collaboration and carry out exchanges in more ways.
Mr. Andreassen expressed that Copenhagen School and SMU have conducted productive cooperation in a short time that result in a widespread influence among Denmark maritime fields, and he looked forward for more exchanges and cooperation.
Mr. Anders H. Sorensen introduced the general situation of Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering, saying that he was quite impressed with SMU’s excellent teaching facilities and fully expected to develop the cooperation in short-term training and student exchange.
Prior to the talks, Mr. Andreassen had communication with the 10 students of SMU who had been exchanged in Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management for study in 2013, he listened to the students’ reflections and advice.
