On January 3rd, the Signing Ceremony for Djiboutian Shipping Talents Educational Program between Shanghai Maritime University and the Republic of Djibouti was held at SMU. H. E. Mr. Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti in China, Mr. He Liehui, President of Touchroad Group, Prof. Huang Youfang, SMU President, Prof. Jin Yongxing, SMU Vice President, and leaders from relative departments attended the ceremony.
Prof. Huang Youfang and Prof. Jin Yongxing held talks with Mr. Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil, the two sides exchanged views on the program’s planning, implementation as well as arrangement.
Prof. Huang Yufang, Mr. Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil and Mr. He Liehui, respectively on behalf of SMU, the Republic of Djibouti and Touchroad Group signed the cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, SMU will engage in training shipping professionals for the Republic of Djibouti, offering two years professional training for the students from Djibouti. Funding for the program will be provided by the government of Djibout and Touchroad Group.
