On December 5, the “2013 SISI-KMI International Shipping Forum—Main Focus and Outlook of World Shipping Market”, jointly hosted by Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) and Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) was held in Shanghai. The forum invited well-known experts and scholars from Chinese and Korean shipping community to address on the recent hot-spot issues of international shipping industry, the current shipping market situation and outlook of global dry bulk and containers as well as the comparison between China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Korea Marine Equipment Park.
Since both sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding in 2009, KMI and SISI has formed a tradition to host international shipping forum each year. The forum, by far, has been successfully held for 5 years, which broadened the channels of Sino-Korea maritime cooperation, and was admired and praised by the participants.
