On November 18, Vice Chancellor of University of Wisconsin (Stout), Dr. Joe Bessie, together with other 2 guests paid a visit to SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, vice president of SMU along with the leaders of relative departments met with the guests.
Prof. Jin Yongxing extended a warm welcome to Dr. Joe Bessie for his second visit. Then he introduced the latest development of SMU, and expressed that SMU is accelerating the internationalization of education, looking forward to conducting cooperation with University of Wisconsin (Stout).
Dr. Joe Bessie said that he had long anticipated to pushing forward the partnership with SMU since stepping into office, and expected to shape cooperative relationship by taking opportunity of this visit.
The two sides negotiated over the potential programs such as student exchange, summer school program. At last, they reached an agreement to conduct cooperation as soon as possible.
Dr. Joe Bessie also visited the Maritime Simulation Center and the COSTAMARE Engine Room Integrated Laboratory and expressed his admiration.
