The 8th Graduation Ceremony of the ITL Program in International Transport and Logistics Successfully Held

On the morning of August 24, the 8th Graduation Ceremony of the ITL Program in International Transport and Logistics co-founded by Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) and World Maritime University (WMU) was successfully held at SMU. Prof. Bjorn Kjerfve, President of WMU, Prof. Ma Shuo, Vice President of WMU, Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU and relative leaders from International Office、College of Transport & Communications attended. Prof. Shi Xin, Dean of the College of Transport and Communications presided over the ceremony.

Prof. Bjorn Kjerfve and Prof. Huang Youfang delivered their respective speeches. They warmly congratulated the graduates and both confirmed the fruitful achievements of ITL Program in International Transport and Logistics over the past decade. With WMU Shanghai Office was formally established, the two sides would further consolidate cooperation in maritime education and science research on the basis of the cooperation program.

There were altogether 32 graduates completed their studies smoothly, including 9 foreign students from America, India, Athens and Indonesia. And the employment rate reached 100%. 

Since the ITL Program in International Transport and Logistics set up in 2004, it had trained and provided more than 260 high-quality specialists for the international transport and logistics. Except Chinese students, the program also attracted a lot of foreign students from Germany, Athens, Turkey, America, India, Mexico, Indonesia and Thailand.
