From August 21 to 23, Prof. Bjorn Kjerfve, President of WMU, along with Prof. Shuo Ma, Vice President of WMU paid a visit to SMU and attended the 8th Graduation Ceremony of International Transport & Logistics MSC (Master of Science) Program that was jointly held by SMU and WMU. Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU and Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU extended warm welcome to the guests, and then they exchanged opinions on further pushing forward the cooperation in the future.
Prof. Huang Youfang warmly welcomed Prof. Bjorn Kjerfve’s visit to SMU. In view of the long-term close cooperation between SMU and WMU, he expected the two sides would draw on each other’s strength and continue working together to further the cooperative partnership in the fields of talents cultivation and science research based on the existing collaboration program of International Transport & Logistics. At last, Prof. Huang wished SMU and WMU could join hands to make greater contributions to the development of maritime education.
Prof. Bjorn Kjerfve briefed on the latest development ideas as well as the ongoing program of WMU. He expressed that SMU was an important cooperation partner and WMU Shanghai center was the only one that registered outside of headquarters. He hoped the two sides would deepen cooperation for a win-win outcome.
