From April 19 to 26, Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU went to Britain and Macau and paid a visit to Cambriage Judge Business School, Cass Business School of City University London, Cambriage Academy of Transport and City University of Macau.
Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU conducted a constructive discussion with related leaders of the four universities in a relaxed manner and they reached a consensus about further strengthening the mutual relationship and cooperation. Cass Business School City and others hoped to sign specific cooperation agreements as soon as possible.
During the communication, Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU expressed that London and Shanghai were both one of the most active cities around the world. London assembled more than a thousand of the world’s top high-end shipping service agencies involving marine, law, finance, consultation, education and other fields which had led the development of international shipping and logistics education training. For Shanghai International Shipping Center was being under construction, in order to improve the level of modern shipping service industry and to possess the ability of global shipping resource allocation, the most vital and urgent thing was to build maritime talents highland. Through the win-win cooperation mode, high-quality education resources of global shipping and logistics would be assembled, and finance and logistics talents of high-end international shipping would be actively cultivated. Such cooperation would also speed up the pace of the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.
