On December 2nd, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU attended the 2012 Commencement Ceremony of WMU on invitation of Prof. Bjorn Kjerfve, President of WMU. During this visit, Prof. Jin Yongxing also met with Mr. Koji Sekimizu, Secretary-General of IMO. Prof. Jin Yongxing briefed on the disciplines and specialties of SMU as well as the latest developments of SMU such as the new training ship.
Previously, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU had visited the headquarters of BIMCO. Mr. Torben Skaanild, Secretary General of BIMCO gave him a warm reception. The two sides reviewed about the friendly cooperation relationship in the past five years and had a discussion on the potential ways of further cooperation.
