On July 12th, Prof. Yu Shicheng, President of SMU attended the Launch Ceremony of the MV Yue May on the invitation of Prof. Zhao Xicheng, Chairman of the Foremost Shipping Group, USA. Prof. Zhao Xicheng is an alumnus of SMU.
After the ceremony, Prof. Yu Shicheng had a discussion on issues of energy strategy and shipping situation in China, together with Mr. Zhang Guobao, Director of the National Energy Experts Consultative Committee, and Mr. Tan Zuojun, Manager General of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation.
Foremost Shipping Group and SMU shared a long-term relationship of cooperation. The Yuhai Shipping Company, which belongs to SMU, sends seafarers to serve for the vessel of Yue May.
