Transport & Logistics Training for Mongolian Freight Forwarders and Road Carriers Commenced

On June 20, the Transport & Logistics Training for Mongolian Freight Forwarders and Road Carriers commenced at SMU. This event was hosted by Asian Development Bank (ADB), CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Association (CFCFA) and organized by SMU. 33 students of this training project are executives from Mongolian freight forwarder agencies and logistics companies.Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, and the heads of relevant departments attended the ceremony.

Prof. Jin warmly received all the students from Mongolia and expressed his sincere thanks to ADB and CFCFA for their trust and support to SMU. He said SMU will spare no efforts to make this training program a successful event and shape a good beginning for the three sides’ corporation in the future. Followed was the speech by Mr. Zhang Yuebin, ADB Senior Regional Cooperation Specialist. He pointed out that ADB placed great importance on capacity building and regional cooperation of its member countries, and this Mongolian training program was one of ADB’s specific activities to strengthen member countries’ capacity building of relevant fields.

The period of this training program will last 2 weeks, including the Bill of Lading service, multimodal transport, practice of international trade and charter business.
