On April 6th, the SMU Lloyd’s Scholarship Award Ceremony was held in NYK lecture hall.
Prof. Xiao Yingjie, Deputy Dean of SMU Merchant Marine College, addressed the welcome speech, and conveyed his great appreciations to LR. He also expressed high expectation of more in-depth cooperation between SMU and LR.
Mr. John Bartlett, training manager of LR in China, said the establishment of SMU Lloyd’s Scholarship was a joint effort and hoped that those scholarship winners could reach their new heights in the future.
British LR, as one of the world’s top ten classification societies, was founded 251 years ago. 6 post-graduate students and 4 undergraduate students won the Lloyd’s Scholarship this year.
