On December 17, a delegation from Hankyong National University (HKNU) from South Korea visited SMU. The delegation consisted of 5 professors including Prof. Kim Sang Hoon, Head of Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation, Prof. Sun Jong Keun, Dept. of Global Logistics, Prof. Yu Yun Seop, Dept. of Information and Control Engineering.
Prof. Liu Guangzhong, Deputy Dean of SMU Information Engineering College, Associate Prof. Liang Chengji from Logistics Research Center received the guests. During the meeting, both sides briefed on histories, disciplines construction and international cooperation of each university. They also exchanged views on disciplines development on Logistics Engineering and Information Engineering, as well as students exchanges between SMU and HKNU. Prof. Kim Sang Hoon said, HKNU hoped to deepen the understanding of each other through this visit and expected to establish partnership with SMU.
Founded in 1939, Hankyong National University (HKNU) is a key university among subordinate institutions of Ministry of Education. The university specializes in agricultural bioengineering and biotechnology. With total number of nearly 8,500 students, at present HKNU run three colleges, 29 departments, 32master’s degree programs and six doctoral programs. For the past few years, HKNU has recruited many qualified teachers and expanded its international cooperation actively to fully develop its Logistics discipline.
