On October 29, a delegation from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya visited SMU. The delegate were Prof. Esther Murugi Kahangi, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Mr. Cyrus Chege Kamau, Head of Linkage Department. Prof. Jin Yongxing, SMU Vice President and directors of concerned departments met with the guests and had a free talk.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Kahangi expressed her thanks for the warm reception from SMU and she hoped to establish cooperation with SMU through this visit. They intended to send teachers and students to SMU to further study and hoped to cooperate with SMU in teachers training concerning Marine Engineering program.
Prof. Jin Yongxing said SMU had been ready to collaborate with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya to cultivate high-level shipping specialists.
