Professional Experience:
Mrs. Gu weihong has worked as an assistant lecturer, lecturer, associate professor in succession since she graduated from Shanghai Maritme University in March 1993. Major lecturers like Shipping Management, Maritime Economics have been taught by her for tens of years.
As for the research work, during the past tens of years, she finished twenties of research projects, mainly covering the policy decision making of Chinese shipping industry and strategies on shipping enterprises. For example, the program of “Research on Compiling the Chinese Container Shipping Freight Index” , "The Strategies on China International Shipping industry under the Framework of WTO”, and “Monitor and Administrate on China ‘s Liner Shipping Freight” etc.. She has been involved in the research program of maritime GHG emission reduction since 2009.
She also holds the position of the vice dean of International Shipping Department, a concurrent post of dean of Lab Center of the college of Transportation & Communications. She has been appointed as the member of the editorial board of the Report on China’s Shipping Development issued annually by the Ministry of Transportation of China since 2005, and qualified as the member of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers(MICS),London in 2006.
